A message from our Bishop

Brothers and Sisters,

The Burrell and Gray families would like to thank each of you for the prayers, service, and support that has been given to them at such a difficult time. They are all doing well and the Spirit has been comforting them. They each are blessed to have many family members staying with them. The outpouring of love and support has been overwhelming and felt by the families and all in the community. I am grateful for our ward family and the selflessness that has been demonstrated by so many.

The funeral for Brycen is scheduled for this Saturday the 21st at the Stake Center on Combs Rd. There will be a visitation time from 1:30 to 2:15, in the Relief Society room, where you may see and speak with the family. The funeral service will begin at 2:30. All are invited to attend.

We would like to have a ward fast for both families this Sunday. Please focus your prayers on each individual, by name, in those families. If you would like to contribute to the burial expenses, you may do so using a donation slip using the “other” category. Please write “funeral” on the line next to “other”. The Gray’s have also set up an account at Chase Bank for others to make contributions. You may make a deposit into any Chase branch, account #2967360229. The Burrell’s welcome any notes, small gifts, flowers, etc. to be left in front of their home. Brother and Sister Burrell feel that this will be a great experience for their children to feel the love of their neighbors and a comfort to them for the loss of their brother.

At a time when we are all hurting, let us remember the Savior. He suffered for the grief and pain that we, The Burrell’s, and The Gray’s are all feeling. Use this opportunity to evaluate our own lives and make the needed corrections. May we all be more patient, be more loving, and have more faith than we did at the start of this week.

Sincerely,

Bishop White
